This multi-occurrence computed finding is used to determine if the date of a

MODIFIER. FINDING is specified in a manner like that used when creating a
reminder definition. The first two characters are one of the two-character
abbreviations for finding types followed by a period, followed by the exact
name of the finding or its internal entry number. Some examples:

finding is in a period where the patient was an inpatient. First, it searches
The INP or OUT piece of the parameter works as follows:
INP - Any finding occurrences that are in an admission period will be a true
occurrence of the computed finding with the date set to the finding
date. This is the default value.
OUT - Any finding occurrences that are outside an admission period will be a
true occurrence of the computed finding with the date set to the
finding date.
The FINDING MODIFIER piece is optional, it provides a way to input finding
modifiers that cannot be set when the computed finding is added as a finding.
for up to NOCC true occurrences of the finding in the date range specified by
The format is MODIFIER:VALUE where modifier is the exact name of the modifier.
The allowed modifiers are:

WITHIN CATEGORY RANK
MH SCALE
RXTYPE
USE START DATE
INCLUDE VISIT DATA
Beginning Date/Time and Ending Date/Time, where NOCC is the Occurrence Count.
Examples:
USE INACTIVE PROBLEMS:1
WITHIN CATEGORY RANK:1
MH SCALE:1012
RXTYPE:O
USE START DATE:1
INCLUDE VISIT DATE:1
Be aware that the values for these modifiers are not checked to determine if
they are valid, you must make sure of that when setting up this computed
Next, it finds up to 99 admission/discharge pairs in the date range. The final
finding.
USE INACTIVE PROBLEMS - 1 for YES or 0 for NO, the default is 0.
WITHIN CATEGORY RANK - The default value will be 0, a non-zero value can be
used if needed.
MH SCALE - Enter the scale number.
RXTYPE - The possible values for RXTYPE are "I" for inpatient, "N" for
non-VA meds, and "O" for outpatient. RXTYPE can be any combination of these
such as "NO" which will search for non-VA meds and outpatient medications.
If RXTYPE is blank it is equivalent to a value of "INO"

INCLUDE VISIT DATA - 1 for YES or 0 for NO. The default is 0
Note that for health factor findings, Within Category Rank will default to 0
so all the occurrences within the date range will be included, not just the
most recent one.
This computed finding does not support reverse date ordering.
