DESCRIPTION	HERPES ZOSTER (SHINGLES) IMMUNIZATION: - Persons with primary or acquired immunodeficiency including, leukemia, lymphomas, or other malignant neoplasms affecting the bone marrow or lymphatic system. - AIDS or other clinical manifestations of HIV. - Persons on immunosuppressive therapy, including high-dose corticosteroids. - Persons receiving the recombinant human immune mediators and immune modulators. - Persons undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). - Pregnant or might be pregnant. A single dose of shingles vaccine is recommended for adults 60 years of PRECAUTIONS: - Persons who have severe acute illness should be postponed until recovery. - Zoster should be deferred in patients with active, untreated tuberculosis. age and older who do not have contraindications to the vaccine. Persons with a history of zoster CAN be vaccinated. CONTRAINDICATIONS: - History of anaphylactic reaction to any component of the vaccine, including gelatin and neomycin.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION	Reminder is applicable to patients aged 60 and older. The Herpes Zoster local findings that meet the intent of this term should be mapped. Findings in this term will resolve the Herpes Zoster immunization reminder permanently. Term: VA-ZOSTER DEFERRALS This term is released with the health factors HERPES ZOSTER IMMUN PRECAUTION, DECLINES HERPES ZOSTER IMMUNIZATION, and HERPES ZOSTER VACCINE UNAVAILABLE. Any local findings that meet the intent of this term should be mapped. Findings in this term will resolve the Herpes Zoster immunization reminder for 3 months. vaccine is one-time dose.
