ZZVA-PNEUMOVAX (28)    REMINDER DEFINITION (811.9)

Pneumovax given once to patients 65 and over, and to patients of any
age with a history of any of the following diagnoses: asthma, COPD,
DM, ASCVD, CHG, chronic bronchitis, HIV positive or AIDS, renal
transplant, or cancer chemotherapy.
 
This reminder is defined based on guidelines from the Ambulatory
Care Expert Panel.  It also supports the "Pneumococcal Vaccine" guidelines
specified in the "Guidelines for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention",
M-2, Part IV, Chapter 9.
