To receive the messages from the tape, select option 'Sequential Media Message Reception'. MailMan will take it from there. As a backup method of transmitting messages, in case the WAN is down for a period of time, MailMan provides the ability to dump a queue (transmit the messages) to tape (or any other sequential transportable medium), send that tape to another site whose WAN is up, and have that site mount the tape and receive the messages, which will then be automatically transmitted onward from that site.
