This option is used to verify Potential Duplicates as either Verified
***IF THE OPERATOR CANNOT MAKE A DETERMINATION AT THIS TIME WHETHER
THE PAIR ARE DUPLICATES OR NOT, THEY CAN JUST ENTER A <RETURN> WHICH
WILL LEAVE THE PAIR AS POTENTIAL DUPLICATES. THEN AT A LATER TIME
AFTER THEY HAVE RECEIVED THE APPROPRIATE INFORMATION THEY CAN CHANGE
THE PAIR TO A DIFFERENT STATUS.***
You may quit this option by entering a '^' and then answering 'YES'
to the question asking if you want to quit.
If you verify the pair as Verified Duplicates a bulletin will be
Duplicates or Verified Non-Duplicates.
sent to all members of the Verified Mail Group notifying them about
the records that have been identified as verified duplicates getting
ready to merge. It will also begin the [MERGE] process.
This starts with the first Potential Duplicate pair and displays
the two records side by side with field headings at the left.
By looking at the entries and any supporting documents the operator
makes a choice whether to change the Potential Duplicate pair to
a Verified Duplicate pair or a Verified Non-Duplicate pair.
