A problem was reported with the Automatic Pharmacy Statistics [PSU
re-admission to the hospital via an application programmer interface (API)
to Inpatient Medications. This patch corrects this API to only allow a
numeric value for the LAST WARD field to be passed in this API.
PBM AUTO] option receiving an undefined variable error. The problem was
that the LAST WARD field (#68) of the UNIT DOSE multiple (#62) of the
PHARMACY PATIENT file (#55) had a text value instead of a numeric value.
The patients where the problem occurred all had been admitted to
observation and then discharged and re-admitted to the hospital. New
functionality was added to the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS)
to allow the orders that had been discontinued by the patient's discharge
from observation to be automatically re-instated upon the patient's later
