This patch addresses adding three (3) new fields to the HOSPITAL LOCATION
2) control the clinics that display appointment information to Veterans
and
3) improve the clinic information that is exposed to patients so that it
is meaningful and relevant to clinical care.
This patch adds three (3) new fields and modifies two (2) Scheduling
options.
1. Three (3) new fields were added to the HOSPITAL LOCATION File (#44).
- PATIENT FRIENDLY NAME
- DIRECT PATIENT SCHEDULING?
File (#44) to compensate for defects that exist in the current VistA
- DISPLAY CLIN APPT TO PATIENTS?
2. The Set up a Clinic [SDBUILD] and Clinic Profile [SDCLINIC] options
were modified to display the three new fields.
Scheduling package. This effort was requested by the Veterans Health
Administration (VHA) Access and Clinic Administrative Program (ACAP)
in support of the VistA Scheduling Enhancements (VSE) project.
The purpose of this work is to add VistA Scheduling fields to

scheduling of appointments,
