Imaging file 2005.03 (PARENT DATA FILE) has a field
number .04 (FILE POINTER) defined as a pointer to the file #1. The field has
been setup with no LAYGO access. The file contains all the VistA applications
that store image pointers and the sublevel where the image pointer is stored.
For example the entry for the Radiology Report file looks like:
FILE/SUBFILE NUMBER: 74 FILE/SUBFILE NAME: RADIOLOGY
ABBREVIATION: RAD GLOBAL ROOT TYPE: ROOT1
FILE POINTER: RAD/NUC MED REPORTS
The Imaging KIDS build sends the PARENT DATA file fully populated. This file
is not updated by any end-user; neither menu option nor GUI application is
sent to modify the file. The file is sent with security set to an "@" for all
levels. The file is used internally by Imaging routines to verify the
application where the images pointer will be stored and to limit the
applications Imaging interfaces with.
Our DD for this fields looks like:
^DD(2005.03,.04,0) = FILE POINTER^P1'^DIC(^0;4^Q
