NAME DBIA 3338 - Imaging & VADPT routines
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Registration gives permission to VistA Imaging for
downloading VADPT* routines. Imaging is executing supported calls to
DEM^VADPT, INPT^VADPT and ADD^VADPT on satellite PC that have Micronetic M
installed.

In addition, Imaging is requesting that any future patches to these routines
will include a message informing Vista Imaging users to update their Imaging
gateways. A possible example follows.

If you are running Vista Imaging, use the menu option to copy the routines to
the Imaging DICOM gateways as follows: "On the Vista server (hospital
database), use menu option 'Copy Routines to DICOM Gateway' located under the
'Imaging System Manager' Menu. Then on all Text and Image gateways use the
'System Maintenance' menu to select Gateway Configuration and DICOM Master
File and then select 'Download Current Radiology and MAS Routines'. This will
cause the up-to-date versions of all radiology and MAS routines to be copied
to the gateway systems."

Imaging will download the following routines onto
Imaging DICOM gateways. Routines: VADPT, VADPT0 VADPT1, VAPT2, VADPT3,
VADPT30, VADPT31, VADPT32, VADPT4, VADPT5, VADPT6, VADPT60, VADPT61, and
VADPT62. These routines are not renamed nor modified on the gateways.
Imaging uses supported calls to ADD^VADPT, INPT^VADPT and DEM^VADPT to get the
most current information from the main hospital database. The appropriate
hospital's database globals are translated to the gateway.

The process on these gateway are limited to processing images and sending
information to image acquisition devices all done in an automated process that
does not require user interaction other than to start or stop the process.
These gateways only have Imaging M applications and no other VistA Application
is present. The gateways are in service 24hrs/7days.
