GENERAL DESCRIPTION | This entry point provides the ability to perform a search on a specified file for potential duplicates to a specified file entry, using user specified criteria in the DUPLICATE RESOLUTIION file (#15.1). The routine creates entries in the DUPLICATE RECORD file (#15) of potential duplicates identified for subsequent verification. The users must create an entry in the DUPLICATE RESOLUTION file for the file that will be analyzed. This entry must include data in the CANDIDATE COLLECTION ROUTINE field (#.09) which will specify the routine to be used as the basis for identifying those that might be potential duplicates. These candidates are then compared using the data and routines specified in the DUPLICATE TESTS sub-file (field #1100) for the analyis. The weighted result from these tests is then compared to the POTENTIAL DUPLICATE THRESHOLD% value to determine if an entry should be considered a potential duplicate and entered into the DUPLICATE RECORD file. |
