The NHIN package is a subscriber to this ICR and the
NHIN package name is also used to represent VLER DAS/Retail Pharmacy
Immunization Data Retention Project. This project receives Walgreens
immunization data, which is being passed to PCE, creating a historical Visit
and V Immunization entry. If a VLER DAS package is created in the future, VLER
DAS could be added as a subscriber.
This RPC replaced the NHIN RPC, NHIN GET VISTA DATA in PX*1*200.

Added 6/9/23. CDSP is developing a CPRS COM extension
to capture user generated events to trigger clinical decision support
applications. CDSP is utilizing solutions based on FHIR, SMART on FHIR and CDS
Hooks standards. CDSP needs to get patient data to enrich CPRS events and send
them to Clinical Decision Support services.

Added 10/23/23, effective with CRMS*1*1, the VA Health
Connect (VAHC) application is a Salesforce product sharing the CRMS namespace.
The CRMS VAHC Remote Application includes the CRMS VAHC Option, which includes
required RPCs. VPR GET PATIENT DATA is one of the Remote Procedures included
in the CRMS VAHC Option. The Remote Application uses Data Access
Services/National Health Information Network (DAS/NHIN) as the middleware to
interface with VistA.
