The Image Migration load tool is in 2 parts: 1)
baseline load and 2) on-going maintenance.
BASELINE LOAD The software scans file #2006.5839 loads the referenced images
into the Imaging Migration database. To do this, it needs to extract the FILE
NUMBER (field #.01) to check determine that it has a value of 123. It then
extracts the consult pointer from field #2 (ENTRY NUMBER) and the image
pointer from field #3 (IMAGE). A record is created in the Image Migraton file
or an existing record is updated.
ON-GOING MAINTENANCE When consults are resulted, the GMRC EVSEND OR protocol
executes. A new protocol - EHM CONSULTS - will be added to this parent
protocol to add or update records in the Imaging Migration database. This new
protocol needs to access the "C" cross-reference in file #2006.5839 to
determine if an image exists there for the resulted consult.
