| GENERAL DESCRIPTION |
ORDER ENTRY/RESULTS REPORTING (OERR) wants to access
the INSTALL VERSION (#2) field of the PPS-N UPDATE CONTROL (#57.23) file as
part of its Order Check changes in patch OR*3*630. OERR is adding a new ORDER
CHECK NATIONAL TERM (#860.9) entry to store the VA PRODUCT (#50.68) file
entries containing a Metformin ingredient. To facilitate maintenance of this
National Term entry, OERR wants to automate this process. By utilizing a
scheduled task, OERR wishes to inquire to the INSTALL VERSION of the PPS-N
UPDATE CONTROL file in order to know when updates have occurred in the drug
files and thus OERR can run a process to search for new VA PRODUCT entries
with a Metformin ingredient to add to the National Term.
