GENERAL COHORT FOUND TEXT
Anyone with diabetes should have their feet checked by their provider or
other clinician at least once a year. This is needed to find out if there
are signs of nerve damage and poor blood flow to the feet. Problems can
be detected by a physical examination of the feet, checking the pulses in
the feet, and testing the ability of the feet to feel with a special
tool. A foot problem can worsen and cause serious problems in people with
diabetes. If you have not had a complete exam of your feet in the past 12
months, please talk to your provider or clinician about it.\\
