NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS (field #1.1) notes how many times this script should be tried before moving on to the next script and notifying the Postmaster (in a bulletin) that MailMan was unable to connect using the script. TYPE (field #1.2) is the script type (TCPCHAN, SMTP, FTP, TELNET, or OTHER). PHYSICAL LINK / DEVICE (field #1.3) points to the DEVICE file to indicate the port to be used for the connection. It may be the NULL DEVICE. The following fields in the DOMAIN file 4.2 are used when establishing a [MORE]... connection to a remote site. They all reside under the TRANSMISSION SCRIPT multiple (field #4). Taken together, they provide the instructions on how to connect. A domain may have one or more transmission scripts. TRANSMISSION SCRIPT (field #.01) is the name of the script. PRIORITY (field #1) is the relative priority (lower number = higher priority) |
