      DATE APPLIED:   2009-04-22 16:19:22
      APPLIED BY:   USER,SEVENTEEN
      DESCRIPTION:
There is code in routine NURCES1 that does a Direct Global Read (via
IA1381). This code is not executed. Since the Vitals package is going to
retire IA1381 the code will be removed. The Nursing End of Shift which
is the option that executes NURCES1 is using the Vitals API (IA1446) to
      get Vitals data.

OIG Recommendation 4a (annual reporting requirement).

    • 46 SEQ #45
      DATE APPLIED:   2018-02-28 16:49:52
      APPLIED BY:   USER,FIFTYFOUR
      DESCRIPTION:
The patch addresses two (2) issues:
If the abbreviation is re-entered with a value with a length
greater than 10 characters, a program error occurs (UNDEFINED)
and the typical user VistA session is terminated.

      2. When a patient is admitted/transferred to a new ward and there
is no corresponding entry in the NURS LOCATION file (#211.4),
the user gets an erroneous message that Queueing is not allowed
that is displayed after the "Patient Transferred" message.

      1. When using the Service Position File, Edit option [NURAFL-SPO]
           in the Administrative Site File Functions option [NURSFL-MENU];
the prompt for the Service Position abbreviation requires an
entry of 10 characters or less. When a new abbreviation is
correctly entered, the application adds it as a new NURS SERVICE
POSITION. After entering the abbreviation, the application pops
a ScreenMan Form that allows the abbreviation to be re-entered.
