BAR CODE EXPANSION |
Added 10-23-2006. As part of the Bar Code Expansion
project, Care Fusion's wCareView software will give providers a read-only view
of consolidated patient information in a similar fashion as the CPRS Cover
Sheet.

The ORWPT LAST5 RPC will be triggered by a request sent
by the Vecna Kiosk system. Access to this RPC is needed for VPS*1*1. VPS*1*2
will not be using this RPC.

Added 10/02/23, effective with patch CDSP*1*0 CDSP is
developing a Precision Oncology workflow to automatically ingest genetic test
results into VistA and VistA imaging. The workflow needs to identify patients
based on demographic data present in test results which includes last 4 digits
of the SSN.

Added 10/31/23, effective with CRMS*1*1, the VA Health
Connect (VAHC) application is a Salesforce product sharing the CRMS
namespace.The CRMS VAHC Remote Application includes the CRMS VAHC Option,
which includes required RPCs. ORWPT LAST5 is one of the Remote Procedures
included in the CRMS VAHC Option. The Remote Application uses Data Access
Services/National Health Information Network (DAS/NHIN) as the middleware to
interface with VistA.

Added 08/19/2025, effective with NHIN*1*26, this RPC is
defined in the NHIN/DAS context option "NHIN DAS CC", which is defined in the
REMOTE APPLICATION file entry name "NHIN DAS CC". The RPC is called to provide
read only data to the calling system. NHIN will use this RPC to facilitate the
CTO office processing of additional community provider data using the existing
DAS account, remote application and context option. This is specific to the
DAS VistA service account which processes Community Care data to VistA. The
use case is a community provider completes an exam and faxes the results into
a VAMC. These results are stored in a file share and a process that the CTO
office is building picks up these results need to be written back to VistA and
the originating Consult closed out.
