CONSULT/REQUEST TRACKING |
3/10/25 Update: Since May 2024, effective with
GMRC*3.0*196 patch CPRS Sustainment team stopped sending messages into the
interface. This wasn't a full deprecation or removal of all the pieces but
doing just the bare minimum to disable the interface such as disabling of
protocols, links and minimal code changes to quit out of any process hooks
into the interface.
Read Access only. GMRC has an HL7 interface with a Referral & Authorization
System (RAS) database in the Austin FSC. Certain types of consults are sent to
RAS in support of Veterans being approved for community (non-VA) care.
Occasionally, there may be an issue in parsing the data sent from GMRC to RAS.
When this occurs, a mail message is generated from the data in the ACK
message. The mail message contains the Message ID of the offending HL7
message. GMRC would like to extend the information in the mail message by
adding the consult record number. To do that, GMRC will take the Message ID
from the ACK, look up the associated HL7 Message Text, and then parse the
Message Text (772;200) in order to retrieve the consult record number.

TEXT INTEGRATION UTILITIES |
Read access only. Added 3/5/25 effective with TIU*1*360
patch to extract fields from the HL7 record(s) and put into a new file
(#101.22) This file will be used to display a dispensing report from
VistA/CPRS for the OTP clinics. The Methadone Dispensing Tracking Project
improves the ability to safely manage the dispensing and monitoring of the
Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) for Veterans participating in an
Opioid Treatment Program (OTP). TIU will be using the HL7 interface to create
a dispense report from those sites using an OTP (Opioid Treatment Program)
system. The routine will use data from the HL7 MESSAGE TEXT file (#772) and
will need direct global read/fileman access to FIELD # .01, FIELD #10, and
FIELD NUMBER 200.
