Creation of a HL7 PID segment (V2.4)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The VistA Imaging development team will provide a
function that creates a PID segment that is backwards compatible to version
2.4 of Health Level Seven (HL7). The PID segment is a fixed segment; the
Imaging development team will determine the fields to be defined for this
segment in accordance with the 'Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise
Radiology Technical Framework' specifications for order (ORM) transactions.
