Prosthetics orders are processed in VistA after
conversion to Cerner because Millennium lacks the requisite functionality.
Orders for prosthetics are entered in Millennium and pass through OpenLink and
VDIF before being received in VistA. Neither OpenLink nor VDIF can report HL7
errors so orders are lost before reaching VistA. The Prosthetics Orders
Report lists consult orders so they can be matched with Millennium.
An expiration date was added because this ICR is meant to be temporary. The
related patch, EHM*1*5, will ideally never need to be installed at converted
sites. It's intended to identify a problem and get it fixed.
