| PCE PATIENT CARE ENCOUNTER |
Camp LeJeune, COMPACT Act, and Toxic Exposure Risk
Activity are Special Authorities (SAs) created by Congress and the ability to
capture the encounter applicability of these SAs needs to be added to PCE.
Patch PX*1*250 implements a new API that returns a veteran's Service Connect
and Special Authority (SC/SA) eligibilities on the date of the encounter. This
API includes Camp LeJeune, COMPACT Act, and Toxic Exposure Risk Activity.
Currently, the status of a PCE encounter (ACTION REQUIRED or CHECKED OUT) is
determined by Scheduling and stored in the OUTPATIENT ENCOUNTER file.
Applications that need to determine the status of an encounter use the API
$$STATUS^SDPCE.
Encounter applicability for Camp LeJeune, COMPACT Act, and Toxic Exposure Risk
Activity can be implemented with the release of PX*1*250 if PCE determines the
encounter status and causes it to be set in the OUTPATIENT ENCOUNTER file by
setting CHECK OUT PROCESS COMPLETION.
Effective with patch PX*1*250.
