3132 DBIA3132 Routine NDBI 2000/06/20 APPROVED Active Controlled Subscription
Call HXDATA^A7RDPAGU from inside an RPC. This routine
is already being called by CPRS. It is similar to the call of A7RDPACT by
DGSEC whenever a patient is looked up.
Both A7RDPAGU and A7RDPACT refer to National Database Integration routines
which check whether a patient has historical data on a Legacy system.
A7RDPAGU
3314 Outpatient Pharmacy/NDBI A7RPSOUB Routine NDBI 2001/02/13 APPROVED Active Private
The Outpatient Pharmacy package makes a call into the
National Database Integration function $$ZIEN52^A7RPSOUB(STATION#,RX#). This
function will return either a NDBI Drug Table ien value if the Prescription
number for the station supplied was moved to the priamry site in an integrated
system or null.
Calls into NDBI $$ZIEN52^A7RPSOUB(STATION#,RX#) from Outpatient Pharmacy are
contingent on:
1) the presence of the sub-routine $$ZIEN52^A7RPSOUB.
2) a variable that contains a three-digit station
number associated with the RX#.
If any one of these two conditions is not met, then
Outpatient Pharmacy will not make the call.

4830 MPI HEC Enumeration Project/NDBI Global File NDBI 2005/11/03 APPROVED Active Private
This IA is for the Master Patient Index (MPI) Health Eligibility
Center (HEC) Enumeration project.
There are approximately 29,000 patient entries, identified at the HEC
from legacy systems, for which the primary site is not known on the HEC.
These patients need to be identified on the primary VistA system so
they can be added to the 1.6 million HEC patients to be assigned ICNs.
This needs to be done prior to the beginning of the HEC enumeration.
Information for these patients may be available in the NDBI POINTER
CONVERSION file (#17002.2) on the primary VistA system.
From the Master Patient Index (MPI), a remote request can be sent to
an integrated facility for the identified HEC legacy patient entries.
A Remote Procedure Call (RPC) on the local VistA system will search
the NDBI POINTER CONVERSION file (#17002.2) and return to the MPI the
DFN for that entry in the primary site if it is available. This RPC
will only be used at selected integrated sites.
The Master Patient Index VistA package references a National Database
Integration global: ^A7RCP.
