2 SEND MESSAGES FOR ALL CLINICS? 0;3 SET
  • 'Y' FOR YES;
  • 'N' FOR NO;

  • LAST EDITED:  FEB 26, 2016
  • HELP-PROMPT:  Select "YES" if all clinic medication order messages will be sent to PADE. This also includes SIU messages.
  • DESCRIPTION:  Enter "YES" if all clinic medication order messages will be sent to PADE. This also includes SIU messages generated by clinic appointment activity/triggers.
    Caution should be taken when choosing to send ALL clinic messages (orders and SIU) from a particular division due to the potentially large volume of messages sent. This is particularly true if you answer YES to this
    field and leave the DEFAULT CLINIC SEND AREA field Null/Blank. In that case, all clinic messages (orders and SIU) will be sent to PADE for all clinics in that division using the FULL clinic name instead of a DEFAULT
    CLINIC SEND AREA. This may create a distinct location on the vendor side for each unique clinic name passed. Be sure to work with your vendor to ensure their capabilities prior to setting this field to YES.

  • DESCRIPTION:  Enter "YES" if the nightly background job should run for all clinics in this division and generate appointment messages to PADE. If there are clinics where you do check-in then do not populate this field as check-in will
    generate appointment messages to PADE.

  • LAST EDITED:  FEB 16, 2016
  • HELP-PROMPT:  Enter a default PADE location that will be used for all clinic messages.
  • DESCRIPTION:  This is the default PADE cabinet location for clinic messages that will be used if the individual clinics are not defined. If SEND MESSAGES FOR ALL CLINICS? field is set to NULL or "NO" then this field is not used and
    the PADE location must be defined individually for each clinic.
    This area must be defined on the PADE vendor system and also defined in PADE SEND AREA file (#58.71) to ensure that the messages are routed to the intended location on the PADE vendor system.

  • HELP-PROMPT:  Enter "YES" if medication clinic orders should be resent when a patient checks into a clinic with the same SEND AREA as the send area for the orders.
  • DESCRIPTION:  This parameter allows clinic orders to be resent when a patient checks into a clinic appointment (either directly or via PADE background job) sharing the same send area as the orders. This parameter
    follows the same hierarchy to determine if clinic orders will be resent, as is used for the routine sending of PADE order messages. That hierarchy is (1) Clinic (2) PADE Clinic Group (3) VistA Clinic
    Group (4) PADE Wildcard Clinic Name and the parameter is available at all of these levels. If set to YES at this DIVISION level, any setting of the parameter at these lower levels (e.g., Clinic, PADE
    Clinic group, VistA Clinic Group, PADE Wildcard Clinic Name), being left BLANK or set to YES, will send their associated Clinic orders messages on check-in. This parameter does not need to be set to
    YES or NO for lower level YES or NO values to be honored.
