Field # Name Loc Type Details
.01 FREQUENCY 0;1 SET
  • 'A' FOR ANNUAL;
  • 'S' FOR SEMI-ANNUAL;
  • 'Q' FOR QUARTERLY;
  • 'M' FOR MONTHLY;
  • 'BM' FOR BI-MONTHLY;
  • 'W' FOR WEEKLY;
  • 'BW' FOR BI-WEEKLY;
  • 'N' FOR NONE;
  • 'BA' FOR BI-ANNUAL;
  • 'TA' FOR TRI-ANNUAL;

  • LAST EDITED:  JAN 09, 1997
  • DESCRIPTION:  Make a separate entry for each category (MONTHLY, QUARTERLY, etc.) of PMI that is to be scheduled for this device. The PM module looks at this field in conjunction with the STARTING MONTH when PM lists are generated.
    Let's consider a fairly complex example: a device with SEMI-ANNUAL, QUARTERLY, and MONTHLY PMI's and a STARTING MONTH of MAR. Assuming no entry for SKIP MONTHS, the following PMI's will be scheduled:
    SEMI-ANNUAL in MAR and SEP;
    QUARTERLY in JUN and DEC;
    MONTHLY in APR, MAY, JUL, AUG, OCT, NOV, JAN and FEB.
1 HOURS (Estimated) 0;2 NUMBER

  • INPUT TRANSFORM:  K:+X'=X!(X>200)!(X<.1)!(X?.E1"."2N.N) X
  • LAST EDITED:  DEC 21, 1987
  • HELP-PROMPT:  Type a Number between .1 and 200, 1 Decimal Digit
  • DESCRIPTION:  Approximate amount of time required for this PMI(standard hours), to the nearest tenth of an hour. This value will be recorded in the EQUIPMENT HISTORY field when a PM is closed out unless the user chooses to
    explicitly enter another (more precise) value.
2 MATERIAL COST (Estimated) 0;3 NUMBER

  • INPUT TRANSFORM:  K:+X'=X!(X>20000)!(X<0)!(X?.E1"."1N.N) X
  • LAST EDITED:  MAR 17, 1988
  • HELP-PROMPT:  Type a Number between 0 and 20000, 0 Decimal Digits
  • DESCRIPTION:
    Estimated material cost for this PMI (standard cost). This cost will be charged to the piece of equipment whenever a PM of this type is closed out unless another (more precise) value is entered at close-out time.
3 LEVEL 0;4 FREE TEXT

  • INPUT TRANSFORM:  K:$L(X)>12!($L(X)<1)!'(X?1N.",1".",2".",3".",4".",5".",6") X
  • LAST EDITED:  JAN 25, 1988
  • HELP-PROMPT:  ANSWER MUST BE 1-12 CHARACTERS IN LENGTH. IF MORE THAN ONE NUMBER APPLIES, SEPARATE NUMBERS WITH A COMMA.
  • DESCRIPTION:  Each scheduled PMI may be composed of some combination of one or more of the following discrete levels of activity:
    Level 1 - Visual inspection only;
    Level 2 - Check and adjust operator controls;
    Level 3 - Electrical safety analysis;
    Level 4 - Minor parts replacement;
    Level 5 - Major parts replacement;
    Level 6 - Complete overhaul.
    LEVEL is an optional field and is intended to accommodate the needs of certain facilities with highly developed PM programs. Entries for LEVEL (if any) will be printed on the PM worklist as a reminder to the
    responsible technician.
    If more than one number applies, separate numbers a comma.
4 PROCEDURE 0;5 POINTER TO PM PROCEDURES FILE (#6914.2) PM PROCEDURES(#6914.2)

  • LAST EDITED:  APR 20, 1988
  • DESCRIPTION:  Enter the abbreviation (4 to 10 characters) of the PROCEDURE to be followed in performing this category of PMI on this device. The title (as well as the abreviation) of the PM PROCEDURE will appear on PM worksheets
    for reference.
    If disk space permits, the actual procedure itself may be entered in the TEXT field of the PM PROCEDURES file (Number 6914.2) and printed on demand. In any event, the procedure should be on file and readily
    accessible to the technician performing the work.
5 STARTING YEAR (4 numerics) 0;6 NUMBER

  • INPUT TRANSFORM:  K:+X'=X!(X>2100)!(X<1900)!(X?.E1"."1N.N) X
  • LAST EDITED:  JAN 09, 1997
  • HELP-PROMPT:  Enter year as four numeric characters, 1900 thru 2100 are allowed.
  • DESCRIPTION:
    This field has meaning only for BI-ANNUAL and TRI-ANNUAL frequencies. STARTING YEAR must be entered as four numeric characters (ex: 1998, 2002, etc.).
