  • DESCRIPTION:  This field contains the patient for whom the audiometric data was created. It is the internal record number from the PATIENT file for the local clinic, except at the DDC. At the DDC this field will be looked up in the
    DDC PATIENT file and filled in from there after transmission, from the SSN and NAME of the patient, if it can be found.
  • TECHNICAL DESCR:  This field is filled in at the local clinics from the entry in the Audiometric Module GUI application. The name from the local clinic is transmitted along with the hashed SSN to the DDC, where it is added to their file.
    If a match can be found in the DDC database this field will be filled in at the site, with that DFN.
